The sound of the coqui at dusk. The vibrant, sun-washed colors of Old San Juan. The feeling of warm, tropical air and sand between your toes. This is the magic of Puerto Rico, and it’s the place I am ecstatic to once again call home.
Hi, I’m Axel, the filmmaker and owner behind Terra Verde
Cinema. I have some big, exciting news: after more than a decade of capturing love stories in the fast-paced world of New York and New Jersey, I’ve moved my studio and brought my passion home to Puerto Rico.
My mission is simple: to craft adventurous wedding cinema for couples ready to embrace the wild, beautiful, and authentic spirit of this island.
My Decade in the Tri-State Area
For over ten years, the NY/NJ tri-state area was my training ground. It’s one of the most demanding and competitive wedding markets in the world, and I loved every minute of it. I had the privilege of working with and being mentored by some of the industry's absolute best, honing a high-end, cinematic, and story-driven style.
That decade taught me everything about the craft, but most importantly, it taught me that the best wedding films aren't just about pretty shots. They’re about capturing authentic, fleeting moments. They’re about telling a genuine emotional story. And above all, they’re about making couples feel so comfortable and present that they forget the camera is even there.

The Call Home: Why Puerto Rico?
But something was always calling me back. As a Boricua, Puerto Rico isn't just a destination for me; it’s home. It’s in my blood.
I missed the breathtaking, diverse natural beauty—from the lush, misty peaks of El Yunque to the turquoise waves of Culebra. I missed the vibrant culture, the unmatched warmth of the people, and the undeniable magic that permeates this island. This move is more than just a change of scenery; it's a joyful and powerful new chapter, a return to my most authentic self.
It’s precisely why I named my studio Terra Verde Cinema. It’s a nod to this incredible 'Green Earth' and the spirit of adventure it inspires. I knew this was the only place my brand, and my art, could truly come alive.
The Terra Verde Vision: Adventurous Wedding Cinema
So, what exactly is "adventurous wedding cinema"?
It’s for the couples who are tossing the traditional playbook out the window. You’re the ones dreaming of exchanging vows by a hidden waterfall, having your first dance on a secluded black-sand beach, or running through the colorful, historic streets of Old San Juan at sunset.
You value the experience as much as the event itself. You want a Puerto Rico wedding film that feels real, epic, and truly, uniquely you.
As your wedding filmmaker in Puerto Rico, I believe this island isn't just a pretty backdrop; it’s a living, breathing character in your love story. My job is to capture your connection to each other and to this magical place.
What This Means for Couples in Puerto Rico

When you work with Terra Verde Cinema, you get the best of both worlds. I’m bringing a decade of high-end, cinematic expertise from the mainland and combining it with an intimate, personal knowledge and deep love for this island. I know the light, I know the hidden gems, and I know how to make your day feel fun, relaxed, and stress-free.
My goal is to create a space where you can be 100% yourselves, allowing me to capture the real, unscripted magic as it unfolds.
And it goes without saying, Terra Verde Cinema is a passionate and proud LGBTQ+ wedding videographer in Puerto Rico. All love stories are welcome, celebrated, and cherished here.
